Site Resource Placement (SRP), one of ITAC's fastest growing divisions, offers our clients the advantages of hiring an experienced engineer or designer without the commitment to long-term employment.  Today's project demands often require the short to mid-term on-site assistance of skilled project engineers, construction engineers, discipline engineers and/or designers.  To meet these needs, our SRP department evaluates the specific skill sets required, identifies candidates with backgrounds that match the needs, and brings the candidate and the customer together.  We focus on your project budget, scope, and schedule requirements and develop a simple, cost-efficient solution for your project needs.

Our SRP solution is designed to lower your project costs.  Our SRP solution saves our customers the time and energy associated with finding qualified resources and arranging for direct and full-time employment.  We minimize the time and costs devoted to finding qualified personnel, recruiting them, and affording their full-time payroll and benefits.

ITAC's machine division provides design and fabrication services that address virtually all aspects of machine and mechanical design.  Our design and fabrication staff has many years of experience with retrofit, redesign, and fabrication of existing machines and machine parts, plus conceptual and detailed design of new machines and parts.  As unique machinery and hard to find parts wear and break, ITAC's veteran fabricators prove time and again their value in recreating and often improving the parts and their materials needed to keep our customers running.

Our machine staff seeks to improve safety, function, and production while reducing operating and maintenance requirements.  Our primary design consideration includes operator safety and the reduction in downtime and changeover time with the least impact on revenue.

Following three years of subcontracting and renting laser scanning tools, ITAC recently invested in the scanning hardware and software required to develop 3-D CAD models in-house. We, and our customers, find these laser scans and resulting models to be very powerful engineering and design tools. Both engineering time and costs are reduced, while accuracy, details, and safety are increased. Our customers find the tool very useful in evaluating new designs, as the new equipment and construction features are modeled in their existing facilities in three dimensions.

Summarizing laser scanning and modeling benefits:

  • Capture accurate 3-dimensional physical measurements of virtually any object/system to +/- 1/8 inch; reduces number of site visits and measuring time
  • Reduces need for scaffolding, ladders, and designers to work at elevated heights
  • Equipment placement/re-placement, tie-ins, lift plans, and real-estate scenarios are modeled and dimensioned for owner review
  • Multiple users have access to model; real time inter-discipline and QA/QC checks
  • Reduces clashes and construction change orders
  • Customers find software interface easy to use; can "fly" through the model to foresee installation features
