Wood Pellet Plant Retrofit & Expansion
ITAC designs and builds a multi-million-dollar expansion and conversion of a particle board plant to a wood pellet plant.
With over 25 years of experience designing and building in the forest products market, we have established ourselves as a trusted and knowledgeable resource for our clients. We’ve worked in pulp mills, paper mills and woodyards encompassing an extensive array of forest products to upgrade countless causticizing, recovery, bleaching, stock prep, coating and recycling systems as well as paper machines. Many of our engineers and constructors bring prior mill operations and maintenance experience to our project teams, providing innovative solutions for your goals and demands. Not only that, ITAC’s leadership has owned and operated its own wood pellet manufacturing facility and uniquely understands the pressure and challenges of a 24/7 operation in this industry.
Our design build project portfolio includes FEL development, detailed engineering and design, construction and construction management in mills producing board, linerboard, medium and fine papers, newsprint, filter media, cigarettes (flax) and reconstituted tobacco products. We are particularly specialized in assisting with developing mill project scope and costs and then supporting our clients’ teams with purchasing, contracting, managing, installing and starting-up their projects safely and timely.

One of the qualities I admire is their commitment to customer service before, during and after the completion of a project. They have proved to be of high professional standards from top to bottom.” - Bob Olmstead, Wood Processing Manager, Wood Fuel Developers
