Manager, Electrical & Controls Engineering | Associate Shareholder
Since graduating with a BSEE from Old Dominion University, Scot Garner has specialized in the highly competitive systems integration and consulting engineering business. For 23 years, he has successfully provided electrical design and automation solutions for clients in a variety of industries including automotive, metals, film, food and beverage, power generation, and consumer goods. Driven by a natural curiosity for how things are made, Scot has led electrical and controls projects for ITAC for the past 18 years. In addition to project planning and execution, Scot has developed and managed ITAC’s Electrical & Controls Department for the past 13 years.
A native of Midlothian, VA, he and his wife have two teenage sons, both of which are enrolled in a local engineering-focused high school program. Scot is the son of an industrial electrician and spent his summers working as an electrician’s helper. This hands-on experience gave him a unique appreciation for the industry and what it takes to be successful in both engineering and construction.
Under Scot’s leadership, his department specializes in delivering turnkey automation products that include installation design, equipment, software development, installation, and commissioning for industrial manufacturing clients.
