Marketing & Brand Manager
Whitney is responsible for communicating ITAC’s vision and brand through strategic marketing initiatives and partnerships with regional, state and trade organizations. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with an MS in global marketing management and received the Graduate Dean’s Scholar Award for completing the program with honors.
In addition to her education, Whitney brings an invaluable, real-world perspective to ITAC’s marketing department. Her family owns and operates one of the largest wood pellet manufacturing plants on the East Coast, learning firsthand what it takes to design, build, operate and maintain an industrial facility of that size. Whitney is uniquely able to understand clients’ needs, anticipate their concerns and identify with the challenges modern manufacturers face in today’s global economy.
Another cause for which Whitney is extremely passionate is workforce development. After completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Virginia, Whitney lived and worked in Munich, Germany for several years and is fluent in German language and culture. One of the key takeaways from her time abroad was her admiration of Germany’s robust skilled trade apprenticeship programs and the lack of stigma that comes along with them. Using this experience as her muse, Whitney’s first assignment at ITAC was to develop the company’s Industrial Pipefitter-Welder Apprenticeship. Whitney continues to advocate for skilled trades and serves as Co-Chair of the Virginia Manufacturers Association’s Workforce Solutions Committee.
