ITAC was selected to provide all project requirements for engineering, construction, engineered equipment, testing, commissioning, and startup services necessary to install a 2 MW backup power system at the client’s power station in Virginia. ITAC provided multi-discipline professional engineering services to design this automated emergency power system which is capable of automatically detecting a loss of utility power and providing up to 2 MW of 4,160 volt power to the plant’s critical loads. ITAC also provided the electrical and mechanical construction services, construction management, supplier management, and overall project management for this project. ITAC’s Power Systems team provided the field technicians who commissioned the system within the client’s planned plant outage timeframe.
