Greenfield Brewery Utilities Infrastructure
ITAC designed and built a comprehensive utilities infrastructure to integrate with an FDA-regulated greenfield brewery in Richmond, VA. This included full-service engineering, construction, and automation and controls capabilities. Also included in this contract was the design and installation of the following systems: steam, condensate return, chilled water, city water, deaerator, sump, and cooling towers. The control system utilizes a ControlLogix processor, PanelView Plus HMI, and a ProSoft Modbus communication module relaying status from refrigeration machines. A Stratix 5700 switch is the centerpiece of the Ethernet/IP network infrastructure. Despite the scope of work nearly doubling, ITAC successfully started up the new utilities infrastructure on time and in accordance with the six-month deadline.
ITAC has been an amazing resource to Stone Brewing. Despite a continually growing scope of work, they demonstrated both breadth of knowledge and depth of skill to complete millions of utility infrastructure at the new brewery. The main reason we were so successful was because ITAC self-performed and managed nearly all aspects of the project.
