Our client had an existing robotic work cell that was 20 years old. The components had become obsolete, and support was mostly unavailable. The cell was experiencing a high frequency of failures resulting in excessive downtime. ITAC was brought in to evaluate the problems and provide a solution.

ITAC Solution
Upgrade cell with new robot and modern components
ITAC integrated a brand new Kuka 6-axis industrial robot to replace the previous generation’s model, taking advantage of the latest in robot technology for both operation and safety. We built a 3D model of the work cell that was uploaded to the robot software environment to allow full digital simulation. In addition to a new robot, the technology updates included a new vision system, safety components, valve manifold system, and a new Ethernet OT infrastructure. Our Custom Machinery Division designed and fabricated the end effector tooling and a custom tool table.
